Melinda Porter, MA, LPC-S is a counselor in Carrollton, Texas. Melinda began her career in education, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. She then went on to pursue a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. While her teaching career was fruitful and lasted for 13 years, she decided to venture into counseling – an endeavor that will allow her to work with individuals and their families as a unit.
Melinda is also happy to help those who identify with any other non-conforming sexual or gender identity. She has assisted families coping with the “coming out” process, and has helped individuals through online video counseling. Overall, she is focused on providing a non-judgmental, comforting environment that cultivates communication and expression. Melinda will guide you on a path toward self-understanding, self-comfort and self-discovery.

Pete Bailey has a passion for understanding and helping others. Pete is trauma informed and understands mental health, and the emotional issues that can accompany substance use. Pete also has over 32 years of prior public safety experience giving him firsthand knowledge of the struggles first responders face, both mentally and physically, as well as the effects such sacrifice and service have on their families. Pete leverages this experience to bring help, hope, and understanding to his clients. Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Texas A&M University Commerce. Pete is dual licensed in Texas and holds an LPC-I, and LCDC. Pete is also nationally Board Certified holding a National Certified Counselor (NCC) designation.
Carolina ha dedicado su vida a comprender y asistir a quienes más sufren. Para hacerlo, ha estudiado y desarrollado su carrera de salud mental en diferentes países y estados. Carolina es Psicóloga Licenciada en Argentina, completó su Maestría en Mental Health Counseling en Nueva York y obtuvo su Licencia de Chemical Dependency Counselor en Dallas.
Carolina está aquí para asistirlo -o a su familia- a atravesar cambios o transiciones de vida (e.g. comenzar en una nueva escuela, irse a la universidad, cambios de carrera, divorcio, casarse, tener un bebé, crianza de los hijos, problemas de relación), y a sobrellevar las pérdidas junto a sus etapas de duelo. Adicionalmente, Carolina acompaña a personas que conllevan una lesión o enfermedad crónica o terminal.
Sus objetivos principales serán aliviar su sufrimiento, restaurar el funcionamiento de su familia y mejorar su calidad de vida. Usted y Carolina promoverán hábitos que cambien su vida y que lo ayuden a enfrentar los innumerables obstáculos que ésta presenta. Carolina ha trabajado en los Estados Unidos brindando servicios bilingües a adultos con enfermedades mentales persistentes, y ha acompañado a niños, adolescentes y sus familias frente a trastornos emocionales graves. También ha brindado tratamiento de salud mental y abuso / dependencia de sustancias químicas a la población adulta y forense de los condados de Dallas y Ellis. Finalmente, Carolina ha desarrollado como voluntaria, facilitando grupos de apoyo de duelo a familias que han perdido a un ser querido, en organizaciones sin fines de lucro.

Carolina has dedicated her life towards understanding and assisting those who are suffering. By doing so she pursed her mental health career across different countries and states. Carolina is a licensed psychologist from Argentina, she completed her masters' in Mental Health Counseling in New York and earned her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Dallas.
Carolina is here to help you, or your family, navigate decisions and the inevitable life transitions (e.g. starting a new school, leaving for college, career changes, divorce, empty nest, getting married, having a baby, parenting, relationship issues), as well as dealing with loss and mourning. In addition, Carolina offers support counseling for individuals, family members or caregiver of those who are suffering from a serious, chronic or terminal illness.
Carolina has worked in the USA providing bilingual mental health services to mentally ill adults and emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and their families. She has also delivered mental health and chemical abuse/dependence treatment to the adult and forensic population of Dallas and Ellis Counties. In addition, Carolina has enjoyed volunteering for a non-profit organization, facilitating grief support groups to families who have lost a loved one.
