Anger Management
“Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
— Mark Twain
Anger is a normal emotion that is part of life. However, when anger becomes excessive, it can feel overwhelming. People who struggle with anger are portrayed as bad people, but often they are fighting their own battles everyday in their head.
Things like broken relationships, fear of losing control, loneliness and isolation, and anxiety and depression can plague people suffering with anger to the point where improvement seems hopeless. Fortunately, it is possible to learn how to reduce and control anger, and we at MCP counseling want to help.
At MCP counseling, our goal for our clients is to:
- Increase impulse control and emotional awareness
- Learn how to manage overwhelming emotions
- Determine underlying triggers that may be contributing to the anger
· Discover new and healthy ways to express anger and frustration
